ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has revealed a new case of shadow turnover. About 8.2 billion drams in taxes have not been transferred to the state budget.
According to the source, operational information was received that an LLC engaged in the production and wholesale of galvanized and polymer roofing metal tiles, water pipes, galvanized profiles for plasterboard, corners and a number of construction products, does not issue cash receipts at its retail outlets, does not draw up the relevant accounting documents, as a result of which it understates the actual sales turnover, does not calculate and does not pay particularly large taxes to the state budget.
In order to implement the information received, employees of the Investigation and Operational- Investigative Activities Department of the State Revenue Committee carried out large-scale comprehensive operational-intelligence activities. Based on the factual data obtained, it was established that the company in question concealed a real turnover of about AMD 27.5bln in the period from 2014 to 2024. As a result, a particularly large amount of taxes in the amount of 8.2 billion drams was not calculated and paid to the state budget.
A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the crime, searches were conducted at the legal and actual addresses of the enterprise, items and documents of interest for the preliminary investigation were seized.
The preliminary investigation continues in order to clarify all the circumstances of the incident, the entire circle of persons involved in the crime, the application of criminal-legal measures to them, as well as compensation for damage caused by the incriminated crime.
