MOUNT HOREB, Wis. (WMTV) - A bomb threat, which was later determined to be unfounded, caused law enforcement to close off the area around a Mount Horeb Walgreens on Thursday.

Mount Horeb Police Department said in a Facebook post just after 10 a.m. that people should avoid the Walgreens on the 1400 block of Springdale Street as they conduct an investigation.

Police explained that someone reported that they received a phone call with vague information about a bomb left in the store. Mount Horeb Police Department said they searched the store, with a Dane County Sheriff’s Office K-9, and did not find anything.

The police department said there was no threat to the public.

Mount Horeb Police Department indicated similar incidents were being reported across Dane County on Thursday.
