The Argyros Performing Arts Center has announced its lineup for its 2025 summer season, which will be filled with talents including Lyle Lovett, BODYTRAFFIC, Isabella Boylston, Steve Hackman and Eddie Ifft.
Headlining the season on July 5 is Lyle Lovett and His Large Band. According to a press release from The Argyros, Lovett's career across 14 albums has "redefined American music." A master storyteller and gifted performer, Lovett blends country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a style uniquely his own. Whether performing with his duo, acoustic group or large band, Lovett’s shows showcase his talent and the influences that have shaped him. Lovett is also a four-time Grammy Award winner and the inaugural recipient of the Americana Music Association’s Trailblazer Award.
On July 25 and 27, the Argyros will welcome BODYTRAFFIC, an internationally-acclaimed contemporary dance company from Los Angeles. Under the direction of Tina Finkelman Berkett, BODYTRAFFIC has built a reputation for technical excellence and artistic innovation. Its repertoire spans ballet, modern, Afro-Cuban and hip-hop, performed by dancers who bring each piece to life with passion. According to the press release, the company’s work goes beyond performance—it is "a celebration of ideas and spirit" shaped by collaborations with influential choreographers.
On Aug. 9-10, audiences will have the opportunity to join world-renowned ballerina and Sun Valley native Isabella Boylston in screen-to-stage evenings. The nights will begin with an exclusive first screening of excerpts from Boylston’s upcoming documentary, directed by Oscar, Emmy and Tony award-winner Jon Avnet. Following the film, Boylston and some of her American Ballet Theatre colleagues will engage in a conversation before closing the evening with live performances of classical and neoclassical ballet pieces.
On Aug. 21-22, composer and conductor Steve Hackman will deliver a 70-minute performance as part of the Sun Valley Songwriters Series. He will guide audiences behind the scenes of his signature Fusion shows, where he blends the works of classical masters like Tchaikovsky and Beethoven with the sounds of contemporary icons such as Drake and Beyoncé. With guest vocalists and live demonstrations at the piano, Hackman will share stories from his musical journey and showcase the creativity that makes his performances unique.
Internationally-acclaimed comedian Eddie Ifft will bring plenty of laughter to the stage. Known for his sharp wit and bold humor, Ifft will take The Argyros stage on Aug. 29 for two shows. His early performance in the main theater is expected to sell out quickly, delivering the high-energy comedy fans have come to love from his specials, including "Sweet Home Malibama" and "Man Child." But for those looking for something a little more wild, Ifft’s special late-night “After Dark” set in The Argyros’ studio space will offer unfiltered, uncensored and unhinged comedy in a setting where anything can happen.
The Argyros 2025 summer season is set to be filled with prominent musicians, dance companies, celebrated ballet stars, innovative composers and fearless comedians. Ticket information and purchase details for each performance can be found at theargyros.com.
