Munster will take on Argentina XV at Thomond Park on Saturday, November 1 (5pm).
The Pumas will join touring sides such as the All Blacks, Australia and the Māori All Blacks on the list of teams to have visited the Limerick venue since it was redeveloped in 2008.
Munster played their one and only fixture against Argentina in 1973. That match, which took place at Thomond Park and featured current Munster Branch President, Brendan Foley, finished in a 12-12 draw with Barry McGann notching four penalties for Munster

Munster Rugby CEO Ian Flanagan said: “We will be delighted to welcome Argentina XV to Thomond Park in November as part of their Northern Hemisphere tour.
"The upcoming clash with Los Pumas will add another exciting chapter to Munster’s rich history against touring sides having beaten representative sides from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa over the years.
“Los Pumas are extremely passionate about their rugby as we are in Munster, and I’m sure that passion will make for a brilliant game in November as we host this proud rugby nation for the first time since 1973.”
This season, Munster Rugby hosted a memorable sold-out clash against the All Blacks XV in November at Thomond Park and in recent years, there were full houses against South Africa A and the Crusaders at SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh.
Argentina, who have reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in two of the last three editions of the tournament, will also take on Bristol Bears before facing Wales, Scotland and England as part of their northern hemisphere tour.
Priority groups including MRSC, 10-year, 5-year and club season ticket holders can purchase their current URC season seat through their Munster Rugby Account ahead of the general sale. The general sale will open on Monday, March 24.
