

Honorees are lining up for CinemaCon‘s Big Screen Achievement Awards.
Set to take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on April 3, the convention’s closing night awards event will fete Channing Tatum, Lindsay Lohan, Ana de Armas, Cheech & Chong, David Jonsson, Madeleine McGraw and Ben Wang.
Tatum is set to receive the distinguished decade of achievement in film award; de Armas will be honored as action star of the year ahead of her new film Ballerina; Lohan will receive a vanguard award ahead of the release of Freakier Friday opposite Jamie Lee Curtis; veteran comedy duo Cheech & Chong will take home the career achievement in comedy prize; Alien: Romulus actor David Jonsson will receive a next generation award; The Black Phone breakout Madeleine McGraw will be feted as rising star of 2025 ahead of that film’s sequel; and Mean Girls actor Ben Wang will be named star of tomorrow ahead of the release of Karate Kid: Legends.

The group joins previously announced Big Screen Achievement Awards honoree Glen Powell who will be named star of the year. The Big Screen Achievement Awards, hosted by CinemaCon’s official presenting sponsor the Coca-Cola Company, will be fronted by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier.
“The Big Screen Achievement Awards are exhibition’s way of saying thank you to the talented and creative people that make magic on movie screens all across the globe. They are essential to the wonder that is the moviegoing experience,” explained Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon. “This year’s honorees have entertained audiences the world over and we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments at this year’s Big Screen Achievement Awards.”
Tatum, fresh from starring in Zoe Kravitz’s directorial debut Blink Twice and a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, next stars opposite Kirsten Dunst and Peter Dinklage in Derek Cianfrance’s upcoming film Roofman, exclusively hitting theaters on October 3 via Paramount Pictures. His decade of achievement includes such films as Magic Mike XXL, The Hateful Eight, Hail, Caesar!, The Lego Batman Movie, Logan Lucky, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Free Guy, Dog, The Lost City, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, Fly Me to the Moon and the upcoming Atropia.
Oscar nominated de Armas plays Eve Macarro in Lionsgate’s Ballerina, in theaters on June 6, a spinoff of the John Wick franchise. Her other credits include Blonde, Ghosted, The Gray Man, Deep WAter, No Time to Die, Knives Out and Blade Runner 2049.
Lohan returns to the big screen in Walt Disney Studios’ Freakier Friday, opening in theaters nationwide on Aug. 8. The vanguard prize comes her way for a resume that includes Mean Girls, A Prairie Home Companion, Bobby, Georgia Rule and other credits. She’s mounted a professional comeback in recent years buoyed by Netflix films like Our Little Secret, Irish Wish and Falling for Christmas.
Comedy duo Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are set to return to the big screen with their upcoming release Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie, hitting theaters nationwide on April 25 with limited engagements on April 20.
Jonsson next appears in Lionsgate’s The Long Walk, an adaptation of Stephen King’s first-written novel from filmmaker Francis Lawrence. His upcoming projects include Wasteman, Colman Domingo’s Scandalous and an untitled film by Frank Ocean.
McGraw reprises her role as Gwen in Universal Pictures’ Black Phone 2, set for release in theaters on Oct. 17. McGraw’s acting career began at age 4 with a breakout turn in Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper. In the film, penned by writer-director Jason Hall who earned an Academy Award nomination for his work, she played the daughter of Bradley Cooper’s Chris Kyle. Her other credits include Cars 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Pacific Rim: Uprising and Toy Story 4.
Wang stars in Sony Pictures’ upcoming Karate Kid: Legends, in theaters on May 30. Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio topline the anticipated action film. Wang’s credits include American Born Chinese, Mean Girls, The Long Walk, I’ll Take The Hamm, Chang Can Dunk, Sex Appeal, Search Party and The Last O.G.
As previously announced, Powell will receive one of the night’s marquee honors ahead of the release of Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, which opens exclusively in theaters, Dolby Cinema and IMAX on Nov. 7. He’ll also join Wright, Josh Brolin and Colman Domingo for a creative community luncheon in the Octavius Ballroom on April 3.
CinemaCon is the annual gathering of theatrical exhibition insiders hosted by Cinema United formerly known as the National Association of Theatre Owners. It will be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from March 31-April 3.
