The exciting new league has been backed by $100m of TNT Sports money and offers all 36 players at least $100,000 in salary as well as equity.

A number of high profile investors have already backed the league, including Coco Gauff, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Michael Phelps.

And now there's another.

On Monday, 11 March, Unrivaled announced Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry was joining the family.

"We are absolutely thrilled to announce another champion has been added to the Unrivaled Investor family! Steph Curry is Unrivaled," the official account posted.

It is the NBA's legend's latest venture in a growing business empire worth over $1 billion.

The Golden State Warriors marksman revolutionized basketball with his 3-point shooting and changed the celebration game with his signature 'night night' gesture last year.

The former Davidson sharpshooter first pulled out the celebration during the Warriors' run to the NBA championship in 2022 when he was named Finals MVP for the first time in his career.

Curry usually pulls out the 'good night' after hitting a dramatic dagger in the clutch. It symbolizes the idea that his big time 3-pointer has effectively ended the game.

The four-time NBA champion's patented move was on full display at the Paris Olympics when he scored a game-high 36 points on 12-of-19 shooting in the semifinal to lead Team USA to a comeback win over Serbia.

He brought it out a game later when he scored 24 points - all on 3-pointers, including four consecutive in the closing minutes - in the 98-87 win over France in the gold medal game.

After sinking the shot to ice the game, Curry rocked a 'NUIT. NUIT.' hoodie as a perfect troll to the host nation.

'NUIT. NUIT.' is the French version of 'night night' and, according to reports, Curry filed trademark applications in the European Union and United States to protect the viral slogan.

The trademark comes after collectable company Fanatics released a shirt featuring the point guard and the "NUIT. NUIT." phrase.

Curry's very own "NUIT. NUIT." hoodie was created by French designer Mike Fogg in a collaboration with Curry that started over a month before the 2024 Olympics.

The catchy slogan -- along with Curry's highlight reel shooting performances -- went super viral and the opportunistic Splash Brother decided to cash in on its popularity.

But even the man himself admits he had 'no idea' of where the iconic sleeping gesture comes from, adding: "I don't choreograph none of that stuff.'"

Shaquille O'Neal demands Steph Curry enters the GOAT conversation with LeBron James and Michael Jordan

Some suggest WWE wrestle CM Punk created the gesture. He'd often perform it after pulling off one of his signature moves, the 'Go To Sleep' finisher, during the 2000s.

Curry has proven himself to be a winner on and off the court during his 15-year NBA career.

In 2017, the Golden State superstar signed the NBA's first $200 million contract before landing a second $215 million four-year contract extension in 2021.

He's amassed a net worth of around $240 million according to Celebrity NetWorth and, much like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Magic Johnson, has become a serious force in the business world.

The two-time MVP joined forces with apparel brand Under Armour in 2013, the beginnings of a highly successful 11-year partnership which has seen the brand's worth double from $14 billion to $28 billion over the last few years.

The all-time leader in 3-pointers quickly became the face of Under Armour and together they have released ten signature Curry shoes.

In November 2020, Under Armour announced the launch of Curry Brand -- a standalone label -- in a bid to compete with Nike's Jordan Brand.

Curry became president of the Curry Brand in 2023 after agreeing to a long term deal which also gave him $75 million in Under Armour shares.

Details of the extension were kept under close wraps. However, it has been described as a '$1 billion lifetime contract' due to it extending way beyond his playing career.

On top of that, he's made an estimated $50 million more in endorsements, working with the likes of 2K Sports, Callaway Golf, CarMax, Google, JPMorgan Chase, Panini, Rakuten, and Subway.

The ten-time All-Star has also continued to build his own business portfolio away from powerhouse brands.

In 2017, he formed a new company, SC30, which manages his investments, brand partnerships and philanthropic ventures.

Four years later, Curry's own production company, Unanimous Media, signed a development deal with Comcast NBCUniversal. In November 2020, it moved into podcasting with a deal with Audible.
