New beginnings
Earlier this week the Grove-based team announced a new partnership with Atlassian, an Australian based software company, and a name change for the team, which will now be referred to as Atlassian Williams Racing.

Vowels, team principal, dedicated a few words to describe what this partnership means for the team, and their vision for the future.
“In the history of Williams, this is by far the biggest partnership we’ve ever had, it is probably one of the biggest, full stop, in the sport or in sports, but more importantly, it is a partnership of two organizations that have very close synergies on how we act and how we behave.
“Everything is about collaboration and teamwork, it is about how you pull individuals together and point them in the right way, it is about being a challenger to other brands and systems with other dynamics.
“We have two of the best drivers, some of the best individuals as a part of us, we have individuals that know the journey they are on, they are all over the car, they are part of it, but they [Atlassian] are partners, they are not sponsors, they are partners that want to be part of what we are doing.” Said Vowles.
This was just the car launch, next week there will be a joint event with all 10 teams to commemorate F1’s 75-year anniversary where they will reveal their liveries.
The event will take place on Tuesday, February 18th in London at The O2 at 3:00pm EST.
