Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 29, 2025 – A Jonesboro woman has been accused of writing checks to herself that exceeded $39,000.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 35-year-old Amber Michelle Williams was employed as a financial controller at BP Fabrications LLC from Jan. 12, 2021, to Oct. 2, 2024. While working there, Williams had access to the business checking accounts and credit cards.

A review of the business accounts showed Williams issued BP Fabrications LLC checks to herself and other businesses she owned in excess of $25,000, the affidavit said. In addition, Williams reportedly used BP Fabrications LLC credit cards to pay for personal items and bills such as Verizon bills, AirBNB expenses, tires for her personal care, and rent payments, which exceeded $39,000.

Officers issued search warrants pertaining to bank accounts Williams held, which verified the theft from the BP Fabrications LLC accounts.

Williams has been charged with one count of theft of $25,000 or more and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.

She was given a $10,000 cash or surety at the recommendation of the defense and prosecuting attorneys. If she makes bond, she will have to wear a GPS ankle monitor. Her next court date is March 20 at 8:30 a.m.
