Which Tennessee businesses are most trustworthy? See which rose to the top in Newsweek's ranking

Everyone has their favorites; the products they swear by and the brands that they feel are top-notch quality.
For the third year in a row, Newsweek and Statista paired up to find the most trusted companies in the United States. They looked across 23 industries, from real estate to aerospace, to determine which companies consumers, investors and potential employees trust the most.
The survey compiles the opinions of 25,000 U.S. residents, 97,000 company evaluations and 532,000 media mentions to form the basis on which "trustworthiness" is measured, according to Newsweek. The results? A list of the 700 Most Trustworthy Companies in America.
Tennessee companies rank among America's most trusted companies in five of the 23 industries analyzed. The industry with the most Volunteer State representation is the Health Care and Life Sciences category. Tennessee-based companies make up about 16% of the industry's most trusted brands.
Other Tennessee companies including FedEx, Tractor Supply and International Paper are also highly regarded in their respective industries. All rank within the top five most trusted companies in their brand category.

- No. 6: Healthcare Realty, a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that owns and operates outpatient medical facilities. It is headquartered in Nashville.
- No. 14: Acadia Healthcare, a public company that provides psychiatric and chemical dependency services. It is headquartered in Franklin.
- No. 16: Community Health Systems, a public company that develops and operates healthcare delivery systems. It is headquartered in Franklin.
- No. 17: National HealthCare, a public company that operates assisted living communities, independent living communities, behavioral health hospitals and more to support seniors. It is headquartered in Murfreesboro.
- No. 24: Aetna, a private health insurance company. It is headquartered in Hartford.
- No. 29: Lifepoint Health, a private company that operates a network of community hospitals, as well as rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals. It is headquartered in Brentwood.
Machines and Industrial Equipment
- No. 15: Mueller Industries, a public industrial manufacturer that specializes in copper and copper alloy manufacturing. It is headquartered in Collierville.
Materials and Chemicals
- No. 4: International Paper, a public company and a global producer of sustainable packaging, pulp and other fiber-based products. It is headquartered in Memphis.
- No. 8: Eastman Chemical, a public global specialty materials company. It is headquartered in Kingsport.
Retail
- No. 4: Tractor Supply, a public rural lifestyle retailer. It is headquartered in Brentwood.
- No. 29: Kirkland's, a public home décor retailer. It is headquartered in Brentwood.
Logistics, Transport and Packaging
- No. 3: FedEx, a public company specializing in transportation, e-commerce, and business services. It is headquartered in Memphis.
- No. 15: U.S. Xpress, a public truckload carrier and delivery service. It is headquartered in Chattanooga.
