IDAHO FALLS – Allstate is looking to hire 85 people throughout Idaho, and about 12 positions are available in Idaho Falls.

“Allstate is doing great,” says Scott Bowen, an Allstate agent in Idaho Falls. “There have been a handful of (insurance companies) giving layoffs, but Allstate is always adding to the force.”

A news release indicates Allstate is seeing an increased demand for home and car insurance, as well as financial advice and planning.

The company is hiring for agents and customer service positions. Bowen encourages those interested in becoming an agent to start studying.

“Once you have a license, you’re a huge asset. People with a license are 10 times more likely to get hired than those without a license,” Bowen says.

Rich Vander Weyst, Strategic Deployment Leader for Allstate, says Allstate is a trusted brand and an excellent wealth-building opportunity for a small business owner.

“One feature that sets Allstate apart from other insurers is that the agent owns the economic interest in their business and Allstate’s suite of products is in a very competitive position in the Northwest market right now,” Vander Weyst said in a news release. “There’s never been a better time to sign on with Allstate.”

Allstate is also offering up to $10,000 for anyone who refers an eligible agency owner candidate.
