CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cavs return home to Rocket Arena on Sunday afternoon for a matinee against the Los Angeles Clippers, looking to find their rhythm at a critical juncture of the season. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Eastern on FanDuel Sports Network.
If you don’t have cable or can’t access the channel, you’re in luck. Several streaming services will broadcast the game live, and you can watch on Fubo (free trial) and DirecTV Stream (free trial).
With a 59-15 record, the Cavs are still within striking distance of history after a slight slippage in pace.
If they win their final eight games, they’ll surpass the 2008-09 team’s franchise-best 66 wins, setting a new benchmark for regular-season dominance.
But while that milestone is in reach, the bigger picture remains clear — playing their best basketball when it matters most in April.
Cleveland’s last meeting with Los Angeles on March 18 exposed one of the few areas where this team has shown vulnerability: rebounding.
With Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined for this matchup, Cleveland will have a chance to be more aggressive in the margins — boxing out early, finishing possessions with gang rebounding, and limiting second-chance points.
Beyond rebounding, the Cavs will need to regain their offensive sharpness after Friday’s loss to Detroit.
As the postseason approaches, fine-tuning their offensive execution — particularly their spacing and half-court decision-making — becomes paramount.
With this being Cleveland’s last game in March, the urgency to correct recent missteps is clear.
“The main concern is trying to stay healthy, but we definitely want to win these games, so we have to lock back in offensively and defensively, just get back on the right track Sunday,” Darius Garland said after Friday’s loss to the Pistons.
