Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of External Affairs of India Hold Fifth Consultative Meeting

Ulaanbaatar, March 21, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 5th Consultative Meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India was held in New Delhi, the Capital City of India, on March 19, 2025.
At the meeting, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav noted that Mongolia attaches great importance to deepening the Strategic Partnership with the Republic of India, Mongolia's "spiritual neighbor," "third neighbor," and an important partner in the region.
The two sides discussed a wide range of issues on cooperation between Mongolia and India in politics, trade, economy, mining, information technology, education, and culture, as well as collaboration on regional and international fora. Furthermore, the two parties exchanged views on organizing high-level visits and events within the framework of the solemn celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025.
Highlighting the rapid development of joint projects and programs being implemented by the two countries, the two sides agreed to closely cooperate in completing the Oil Refinery Plant, one of the 14 mega projects of the Government of Mongolia and a symbol of Mongolia-India friendship, within the planned timeframe. The two parties also reaffirmed their commitment to continue mutual support within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
