WRAL News has been tracking widespread outages across our viewing area after storms rolled through central North Carolina Sunday morning.
As of 6:20 a.m., there are 2,259 customers in North Carolina without power, according to poweroutage.us. At its peak on Sunday, more than 57,000 North Carolinians were left without power.
At one point, more than 7,000 residents in Durham were impacted; outages in Wake County also left thousands without power on Sunday.
There were reports of damage across our viewing area, from Fayetteville to Cary.
