“Kobe: The Making of a Legend,” chronicles the private story of the unseen forces that propelled the late Kobe Bryant’s rise in the world of sports and the personal transformations he confronted along the way.

The three-part series premieres Saturday, Jan. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CNN. And the series will continue to air on Saturdays at 9 p.m.

“Kobe: The Making of a Legend” traces Kobe’s story from his childhood in Italy to his athletic superstardom and provides an intimate look at his post-NBA aspirations as a storyteller and as a father.

The series will feature personal interviews with Kobe’s former coaches, teammates and family members and friends, and the series will reveal the conflicts and the complications behind the man with the Black Mamba mentality — attacking what came before him with passion and purpose, without fear and doubt and without quitting.
