2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 Series Launched In Japan Along With Two Special First Edition Models

Toyota Land Cruiser "250" series and ZX "First Edition" and the VX "First Edition," have been introduced in the Japanese market today. The company is limiting its production of this SUV for Japan to 8,000 units. The LC 250 Series had debuted back in August 2023 in the US and has finally now made its way to its home turf in Japan.

Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the Land Cruiser "250" series in Japan, expanding its LC lineup in its home country. With this launch the company has also added the two special edition models to its model lineup in Japan - the ZX "First Edition" and the VX "First Edition," with a total production limit of 8,000 units.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 250 series first debuted back in August 2023 in the US and has now made its way to its home turf in Japan. According to the company the LC 250 series focuses on blending off-road capability with everyday practicality. The LC250 series is a modern replacement for the LC Prado and it sits in between the LC300 and the LC 70 series in the Land Cruiser lineup.

The LC 250 series shares its platform with the flagship LC 300 series and introduces electric power steering (EPS) and Stabilizer with Disconnection Mechanism (SDM) for improved handling.

In the Japanese market the company is offering the LC 250 series with the option of a 2.8 L turbo diesel engine or a 2.7 L petrol engine. The diesel engine is being offered with the options of a 6-Speed Super ECT & 8-speed direct shift AT and the petrol version is being offered with 6-Speed Super ECT.

The special edition models, ZX "First Edition" and VX "First Edition," feature unique design elements and advanced safety features. The main list of special equipment for the 250 Series ZX "First Edition" include- Round Bi-Beam LED headlights (with auto-leveling function) with LED clearance lights (with Follow Me Home function) & LED daytime running lights and 265/70R18 tires & 18x7 1/2J matte black aluminum wheels. The main list of special equipment for the LC 250 Series VX "First Edition" include- Emergency steering assist (with active steering function) with Front Cross-Traffic Alert (FCTA) & Lane Change Assist and Advanced Drive with Driver monitor camera. Toyota intends to sell at least 2,250 units of the LC 250 series per month in Japan.
