Egypt’s Summit Technical Solutions has won a major contract worth more than $8 million to implement information and communication technology infrastructure for two towers in New Administrative Capital (NAC).

The company was awarded the contract for Iconic Tower and Crescent Tower in the Central Business District by the construction contractor China State Construction Engineering (CSCEC).

Magda El Sabaa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Summit Technology Solutions said the project will be completed in 10 months in cooperation with international companies such as Aruba Networks and HP.

The 400-metre tall Iconic Tower is set to become the tallest tower in Egypt and the African continent upon completion, and includes shops, offices, clinics and hotel apartment units.

Al-Saba said the company overcame intense competition from local and international companies to bag the project from CSCEC.

“This project is a continuation of the cooperation and partnership with CSCEC, where we implemented several projects for communication systems, lighting and electricity networks for in the Iconic Tower, as well as the entry and exit control systems for 10 towers in the CBD,” she said.
