Kazpost, Mastercard agree on joint development of cashless economy, fintech ecosystems in Kazakhstan

ALMATY. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Kazpost and Mastercard have signed a memorandum on strategic partnership in developing a cashless economy and stimulating fintech ecosystems in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Kazakh postal operator said in a statement.

The document envisages joint work on the development and launch of payment solutions to social projects, the e-commerce development, digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses, and securing fast, uninterrupted and safe digital experience in Kazakhstan, the statement says.

The memorandum was signed by Asel Zhanasova, CEO of Kazpost, and Rafal Trepka, general manager of Mastercard in Central Asia within the Digital Forum Almaty framework.

Kazpost JSC is the national postal operator, part of Samruk-Kazyna, which provides postal and financial services.
