In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout's next mode, all you'll find are sniper rifles and melee weapons

Ambush!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout's next limited time mode features only sniper rifles and melee weapons.

The LTD, named Ambush, was inadvertently revealed via the Call of Duty app. Players quickly picked up on it, before developer Treyarch confirmed the information in a post on the Black Ops 4 subreddit.

Ambush won't come out until after the current limited time mode, Down But Not Out, is done and dusted. DBNO will be live for a couple of weeks on each platform (it started on PlayStation 4 earlier this week). Ambush launches immediately afterward, Treyarch said.

The app reveal of the new LTD says the Skulker (move faster when prone / crouched) and Dead Silence (move quietly, make less noise when opening stashes) perks will be more valuable in Ambush, and it's easy to imagine why when all you've got are sniper rifles and melee weapons at your disposal.

It also mentions the Outlander pick-up (reduced damage from circle, increased speed while taking damage from circle) will be key, too, as once the circle starts collapsing, it never stops. Sounds like fun!

I've enjoyed watching clips of Blackout players using melee weapons to kill people. I've seen some true crackers featuring players nailing unsuspecting enemies with the one-hit kill bowie knife, and trick-shot kills with the throwable axe. Just look at this:
