(NASDAQ: LTON), a provider of wireless interactive entertainment services to consumers in China, said that it has obtained exclusive wireless distribution rights for the official theme song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)."
The song was written and produced by Latin singer Shakira, and performed with South African Afro-fusion band Freshlyground. Shakira and Freshlyground are schedule to perform the song before the World Cup final on July 11 at the 94,000 seat Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg.
The 19th FIFA World Cup (2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa(TM)) is the first World Cup held in Africa. The games are being held in ten stadiums and nine cities throughout the country. The month-long tournament features 32 teams playing a total of 64 matches, culminating with the finals on July 11.
