Adams Named Chairman Of Xenomics

April 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Xenomics Inc. (OTC: XNOM) has appointed Thomas H. Adams as its chairman. Adams is a co-founder diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies including Genprobe Inc, Hybritech Inc., Genta Inc. and Leucadia Technologies, Inc.

Adams is also a senior executive of Iris, which acquired Leucadia Technologies.

On taking on the chairman role, Adams said, “Xenomics’ trans-renal DNA disease detection diagnostic platform offers significant advantages over conventional tests.”

The company said it “looks forward to strategically refocusing its development and partnering efforts” with Adams.

Monmouth Junction, New Jersey-based Xenomics is a molecular diagnostics company developing tests based on Transrenal nucleic acids and urine collection techniques.

The company said it believes its technology has a range of detection, monitoring and screening applications,including for prenatal conditions, infectious diseases, tissue transplantation, neurodegenerative disorders, various tumors, and can open new markets in the molecular diagnostics field.
