911 calls released from CVS pharmacy where officers shot, killed armed man
An armed man who walked into a CVS pharmacy Wednesday was killed by officers after employees called 911, according to the police chief.
Employees of the CVS called 911 to report that the man who had come into the store around noon was acting suspiciously, Fletcher police Chief Erik Summey said.

It happened at the CVS on Hendersonville Road in Fletcher when Wesley Shelton, 33, walked into the store carrying a handgun, officials said.
Summey said that the officers tried to talk with Shelton, who had moved to the back of the store in a storage area.
Officials said Shelton would not listen to the officer's directions and pointed the handgun at them.
When he appeared to be drawing a weapon, officers fired, killing him, officials said.
Summey said there were six officers involved in the shooting, but he was not sure how many had fired or how many bullets hit the man.
As of 2:30 p.m., the parking lot and area around the CVS were cordoned off and police were interviewing store employees and customers.
