FORT COLLINS — The Eighth Judicial District, which covers Jackson and Larimer counties, will offer free services for individuals representing themselves in family law cases during its Family Law Day event May 11, according to a Colorado State Judicial Department press release.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Larimer County Justice Center, 201 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, event staff will provide class sessions, Ask-a-Lawyer appointments and parenting classes to help people meet requirements in family law cases.
The 30-minutes Ask-a-Lawyer sessions are available by appointment from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Classes will cover topics including starting a divorce or custody case, enforcing and/or modifying a family law case, financial disclosures in a divorce case, differences between custody and guardianship and information on early neutral assessments.
