- The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has proposed a package of amendments to the anti-cartel legislation. FAS proposes to introduce harsher punishment for shareholders, top managers and members of the boards - in comparison with the rank and file employees - threatening with potential imprisonment of up to eight years and a fine of up to 4 million roubles ($71,542), the daily reports.

- The cost of the entire Russian program for the construction of a new strategic bombers Tu-160M will be one of the most expensive military projects in Russia and will amount to at least 900 billion roubles ($16 billion), the newspaper writes.

- Russian industrial conglomerate AFK Sistema, owned by Vladimir Yevtushenkov, has dropped plans to create a $100 million venture fund jointly with Chinese Tus-Holdings. - 85 percent of the hotel rooms, as well as private housing in the Russian cities, hosts to the FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15, has already been booked.
