CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. - Verizon Wireless customers in Clackamas County might notice some problems with their service.

Verizon Wireless reported a temporary issue in east and south Clackamas County Thursday night.

According to Clackamas County dispatch, it’s possible that customers on the Verizon network will not be able to make phone calls, text, or receive normal data download in areas of Damascus, Boring, Molalla, Mulino and Estacada.

The network is not down completely, but the issue could interrupt service, dispatch said.

Dispatch said if you live in the affected areas and need to call 911 and the call doesn’t go through, they suggest using a land line or going to the nearest police or fire station.

Verizon Wireless issued a statement Friday saying: "Verizon experienced a temporary issue with its network in Clackamas County last night. Our technicians worked quickly to restore service in the area."
