Bassett Furniture Industries (BSET) Climbed To A New High On Q2 Results

Bassett Furniture Industries (BSET) reported second quarter EPS of $0.54 Thursday morning, up from $0.31 in the prior year period. Analysts expected EPS of $0.36.

Bassett Furniture rose sharply in the first half hour of trade Thursday, but settled into a range for the rest of the session. Shares finished with a gain of 3.35 at $36.15 on above average volume. The stock broke out of nearly a 3-week trading range and set a new high for the year.
