Blaze Automation, a technology company focussed on Internet of Things, is set to introduce B.One Hub — a smart home-automation product powered by a Cloud-based platform — in the Indian market.

The product, developed by Indian techies and showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, is manufactured at Shenzhen, China, and sold in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada, will make its India debut in August.

Arjun Valluri, Chairman, Blaze Automation, said: “Smart homes are the fundamental components of smart cities, and Blaze Automation will aid the country’s mission to build smart cities. Our product has the potential to become a widely used home automation and security solution.”

One may have to spend ₹15,000-20,000 to automate a two-bedroom apartment by connecting various devices. Such pricing makes the product affordable and easy to install, compared with what is being currently offered, he said.

B.OneHub is an automation hub and enables home owners to efficiently control and automate security, ambience, entertainment, and heating and cooling systems. Certified by the US Federal Communications Commission, Blaze has received seven patents for its products.

The smart market Sridhar Ponugupati, CEO of Blaze Automation, said: “The Indian smart-home market is worth ₹8,800 crore, and B.One fits well into the market with its affordability and versatility. We are currently executing orders worth over ₹260 crore in the international market.” So far, more than $3.5 million has been invested on developing these products, he said.

B.One Hub and associated smart sensors will be available in India from August through various integrators, dealers and distributors. The company is also seeking to offer the product through some of the major offline online retailers in the country.

The product’s price range is expected to start from ₹15,000 and go up depending on the size of the building and number of devices to be connected.
