Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJI) reported that its net income attributable to the company for the first six months of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017 was 1.108 billion yen, down 33.0% from 1.652 billion yen in the prior year.
Operating income was 1.948 billion yen, down 24.0% from the prior year.
Total revenues were 74.12 billion yen, up 13.5% from last year's 65.33 billion yen last year.
As announced on November 4th, the company has revised down our financial targets for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, principally because aggressive business investments and services developments have been taking longer than expected to start contributing to revenues accumulation. The revised annual revenue is 158.0 billion yen, 1.0 billion yen down from initial target of 159.0 billion yen. The revised operating income is 5.0 billion yen, 2.3 billion yen down from initial target of 7.3 billion yen.
